It's kinda twilight zone spooky, but if you can get your hands on Flow My Tears, The Policeman Said by Philip K. Dick (read by Scott Brick), then you'll be in for a treat.
Set in a dystopian future, Jason Tavernor has it all. He's the host of the most popular television show on the air, has a beautiful girlfriend, a palatial home, and plenty of money. But an attack from a former lover sends him to the hospital before he passes out. When he wakes up, he is in a run down hotel room, no he has no ID, and no one has ever heard of him. It appears that Jason Tavernor never existed. His hunt for the truth leads him across a cast of characters that can't be trusted...including himself.
It's a great story with a controversial final chapter (I won't say why here). It made for great listening and if you dig the Twilight Zone, you'll dig this book.
Oh - and I almost forgot, since Zombies are hot right now, Max Brooks' full-cast recording of WORLD WAR Z is a good time for those who want a little more "bite" in their spooky fiction.
Wow! This sounds like it's right out of the Twilight Zone! Checking the library's online catalog, it appears that our partner libraries have it. Just place a hold and it will here in no time! Thanks for the spooky selection, Kyle!
