Giving Thanks

We at Missoula Public Library are thankful for a lot of things this year, but there's one thing in particular that makes us radiate with a thankful glow: you, our wonderful patrons.

During Amnesty Week, you came out in droves to donate much-needed toiletries to the Missoula Food Bank . Our garage area got very cramped with bulk packages of toothpaste and shampoo, and we couldn't have been happier.

We hope that all those clean slates that were produced during Amnesty Week have made for a bounty of great reading, listening and viewing material to keep you cozy & entertained during the Thanksgiving holiday.

Missoula Public Library will be closed on Thursday, November 25th and Friday, November 26th.

We will re-open at 10am on Saturday, November 27th.

The library will be closed on Thursday, November 11th in observance of Veterans Day.

Merry Christmas! Hopefully Santa got you everything you asked for this year. We'll be taking the day off today to celebrate the holiday, but we'll be open again tomorrow at 10 am as usual.

Veteran's Day

Get Out and Vote!

The Missoula Public Library is closed for the election today. Remember to get out and vote! That is if you haven't already.

We'll be open again tomorrow at 10 o'clock.

Down Time, Lots of It

Most of you already know that we'll be closed next Monday, but did you know that our catalog will be down tomorrow?

But wasn't it just down last week?

Tomorrow we're going to be upgrading our system in order to accommodate the new Harry Potter book. It's just that huge. Not really, but the real answer would be much more boring so I'll spare you the techie details.

And stop asking me to steal you a copy of the new Harry Potter book before it comes out. I wouldn't do anything of the sort...plus they don't arrive here at the Library until late Friday, so I'd have too little time to turn any sort of profit on them. Just be sure to bring your library card tomorrow if you want to check anything out.

On Monday we'll be doing Staff training. Staff will learn all kinds of things to keep the library running smoothly and serve you, the patron, better than ever.
