The Children's entrance has also seen some action in the past few days. Now that the big pieces are finished, the details are emerging. Butterflies, foliage, and gnomes galore.

Exciting, right? The Children's entrance should be finished by May 17th and we'll have an opening reception to celebrate. More about that soon.

That's looking great!
A chill comes over me everytime I walk into the library and see progress toward the new look and new operation. I gave up the card catalog without much trauma but I will never be glad to lose face to face contact with someone else who loves books (a librarian, you know. I hope the new no-contact face you're putting on will induce a great surge of interest among the reference librarians in the patrons who need their help to navigate the on-line catalog and other more traditional research activities. To me your "update" is a big "dumb-down." Sorry.
These colors look like they were chosen by colorblind people. They clash.
